Bell Type Mounts VBL

The VBL series is extremely versatile and can be used to solve various compression force applications (such as generators, pumps, compressors, etc.). Compared to traditional complex shock absorbers, they are a simpler and more e****mical choice. These mounting parts can be configured with threads (VBL) or assembled with nuts (DBL), and are designed as flange bases to simplify the installation of the final product. This range of shock absorbers can accommodate loads of about 30 kilograms to about 2500 kilograms/mounting.

FAQ

1. Why is this isolator shaped like a "bell"? How is it different from the cylindrical rubber pads we normally use?

That's a keen observation. The "Bell" or "Lantern" shape of the VBL is a key advantage. This unique design provides progressive cushioning and load-bearing characteristics. Compared to ordinary cylindrical pads, it acts like a compressed "air spring." When under pressure, the bell-shaped walls bend inward uniformly, offering greater compression travel and a softer cushioning effect. This makes it particularly suitable for applications that require both high load capacity and good vibration isolation, effectively absorbing and dispersing impact energy from heavy equipment. It is an ideal choice for base isolation of heavy industrial machinery.
2. It looks quite large. Is installation difficult? Do we need embedded bolts?

Installation is actually simpler than it appears. VBL Bell Mounts are typically designed for "direct placement." In most cases, you do not need complex pre-embedded bolts or foundation modifications. The standard procedure is: lift the equipment, place the VBL mounts directly under the equipment base according to the layout diagram, and then slowly lower the equipment. Their wide, stable base and non-slip top surface provide excellent stability. For scenarios with special anti-walk requirements, we also offer models with positioning holes or restraint collars.
3. Used under heavy punch presses or large fans, can it really "hold up"? Won't it get crushed?

Absolutely. The VBL series is designed precisely for shock and vibration isolation of medium to heavy industrial equipment. Its "bell" shape gives it high structural strength and energy absorption capacity. For high-impact applications like large power equipment and forging presses, we select VBL models with higher load capacities and better damping based on the impact energy, ensuring robustness and durability. Its performance far exceeds that of ordinary rubber pads, making it a reliable shock-proof base for heavy equipment.
The specific installation time depends on the structure of the dock, and it usually takes 1-2 days to complete.
