1. We have some older equipment that wasn't designed with vibration control in mind. Could adding DJ mounts now actually extend its operational life, or is it only for new machines?

This is one of the best uses for the DJ series. Retrofitting DJ mounts onto older equipment is a highly effective preventive maintenance upgrade for aging machinery. By isolating the machine frame from shock and vibration, you significantly reduce stress on welds, bearings, and electrical connections that have already endured years of service. 2. Our equipment occasionally needs to be moved for line reconfiguration. Is the DJ mount designed to be easily unbolted and reinstalled, or is it a permanent fixture?

3.Some of our machine frames are made from tubular steel, not thick plate. Can the DJ mount be securely attached without distorting or damaging the frame?

Yes, this is a common application. For attachment to tubular or fabricated structural frames, we recommend using a properly sized interface mounting plate or saddle bracket. The DJ mount bolts to this plate, and the plate is then welded or clamped securely to the tube. This distributes the load over a wider area of the frame, preventing point-load distortion and ensuring a secure, long-lasting connection for vibration control on light structural supports.
