The Swelling Mechanism: Why Rubber Absorbs Fluid
Rubber is not impervious to fluids. Oil, fuel, and hydraulic fluid molecules diffuse into the rubber matrix. The rubber absorbs the fluid and expands. The degree of swelling depends on:

Real-World Result: Hydraulic Cylinder Seals Stop Jamming
