O-Ring Seals | Supplier of Industrial Seals in Multiple Materials & Sizes

An O-ring is an elastomeric loop with a circular cross-section, representing one of the most common sealing elements in the world. Its simple design, low cost, reliable performance, and wide range of applications make it the preferred sealing solution across numerous industries.

    Manufacturing Process

    • Compression molding

    (Compression molding=CM-Process)

    • Injection molding

    (Injection molding=IM-Process)

    When the CM process is adopted for processing, the raw materials are manually added to the middle of the mold before the upper and lower molds are combined. As this process is very time-consuming, this process is suitable for the manufacturing of small batches and large sizes.

    The raw materials are automatically injected into the multi-chamber mold by using the IM process. This process is particularly suitable for the production of large quantities and small sizes.

    Application

    Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems – Pumps, cylinders, valves
    Automotive – Fuel systems, engines, transmissions
    Plumbing & Water Systems – Faucets, pipe joints
    Medical Devices – Syringes, implants, diagnostic equipment
    Aerospace – Fuel & hydraulic seals
    Food Processing – Sanitary equipment sealing
    Oil & Gas – High-pressure drilling components

    Sealing Mechanism

    The O-ring is an automatic bidirectional sealing element. During installation, the pre-compression in both the radial and axial directions endows the O-ring with its own initial sealing capacity. It increases as the system pressure rises.

    Working Pressure

    l When there is no retaining ring, the maximum pressure can reach 2MPa

    l When there is a retaining ring, the maximum pressure can reach 40MPa.

    l When a special retaining ring is used, the maximum pressure can reach 200MPa

    l When there is no retaining ring, the maximum pressure can reach 5MPa

    l When there is a retaining ring, the pressure is relatively high.

    Speed during movement

    The maximum reciprocating speed can reach 0.5m/S,

    The maximum rotational speed can reach 2.0m/S.

    General occasions: -30°C to 100°C;

    Temei Rubber: -60°C to 250°C;

    Rotating conditions: -30°C to 80°C.

      FAQ

      • 1. O-rings used on outdoor equipment or exposed to sunlight and ozone for long periods often harden and crack. Are there specially weather-resistant materials or preventive measures?

      • 2. We have purchased many O-rings of different specifications. Over time, identifying the material becomes difficult, posing a high risk of mixing. How can we prevent this at both the source and on-site?

      • 3. In extreme high-vacuum or rapid pressure cycling (pressure shock) conditions, standard O-rings can suffer from gas permeation or explosive decompression (ED) damage. What are the special requirements?
